Owner Scott Helft’s grandfather opened a Firestone store in Manhasset, Long Island in the 1940s. In 1948, the family moved their store upstate to Hoosick Falls, NY on John Street. Scott’s father, Ralph, bought the current location on Route 7 in Hoosick in the late 1960s. Scott purchased the Route 7 property in 1997, then revamped and built the business into what it is today. That growth allowed Scott to purchase the store on Route 22 in Cambridge, NY.

Hoosick Tire & Services remains a small, family-run business that truly cares about our customers. Count on us for fast, professional service. We not only sell new and used tires, we always recycle old tires. We’re always coming up with new ideas and we are open to suggestions for recycling old tires. We understand the fact that people need to make every dollar go a long way.

Go Green initiatives are important to us. Among our projects is turning recycled tires into roof shingles.
